UK Malaysian Skills Alliance

Projects which deliver TVET Technical Vocational Education Training programmes that industry in Malaysia and other ASEAN countries need.

The objective is to create future looking standards, qualifications, and training programmes which;

  • Meet the needs if industry now and in the future.
  • Develop standards and qualifications which are internationally recognised and meet the needs of local businesses.
  • Work with local regulators to ensure the qualifications integrate with education and industry standards.
  • Engage with high quality accreditations bodies and training institutions to ensure standards are maintained.
  • The UK Malaysian Skills Alliance project team manages TVET activity to ensure projects run to deadline and deliver their desired outcomes for business and students.

The UK Malaysian Skills Alliance is an organisation that brings together stakeholders to deliver internationally recognised TVET and ‘Professional’ occupational standards, qualifications and training provision Through this organisation skills projects can be; conceived, structured and managed, and the best selection of skills providers brought together to deliver a solution.

With UK Malaysian Skills Alliance Directors in the UK and in Malaysia both with extensive experience and contact networks across the technical and vocational skills sector we can bring in such partners Aim Qualifications from the UK, one of several Ofqual recognised awarding organisations who are affiliated to this group, and higher education institutions such as Salford University who can offer degrees and MBA solutions.

Working with the UK Malaysian Skills Alliance National and State Government departments can work much more flexibly to find the right solution for Projects, rather than committing to one institution or one exam which will give a single solution and not look for the best fit in all circumstances.

It is proposed that the local government in Malaysia is also made part of the governance structure of the UK Malaysian Skills Alliance allowing for greater involvement and commitment to Projects.

Organisations delivering qualifications from the UK will all be Ofqual recognised or QAA licensed, this is the designation of quality for eTVET and Higher Education in the UK And is supported by the British Government Here in Malaysia operations will be supported by the UK Department for business and trade and will have access to the high commission for both support and advice.
